Emergency Management Exercise in Alberta & National Poultry Show in Ontario
We have been busy here at Be Seen Be Safe! We not only were out in Red Deer, Alberta with Emergency Risk Management Consulting running emergency management exercises with the four Feather Boards – Alberta Chicken Producers, Alberta Turkey Producers, Alberta Hatching Egg Commission, and Egg Farmers of Alberta – but we also attended the National Poultry Show in London, Ontario.
The emergency management exercises were a great success. We had 20 participants from all over Alberta at the Service Provider Demonstration and 40 participants at the Emergency Management Session, all keen to learn about disease risk management. At the Service Provider Demonstration, we were able to communicate with a great deal of Albertan service provider companies to be able to get them on the system to increase the disease movement network. At the Emergency Management Session, we brainstormed strategies and were able to come up with some great solutions involving our Be Seen Be Safe disease management technology and real-time movement data directly from the Alberta Poultry Industry where we have geofenced all of the poultry farms across the province.
The next week we headed to London, Ontario where we had a booth set up at the National Poultry Show for two days. Great turnout and had some excellent interactions with booth visitors. We are excited about the future and these sort of interactive days always fuel our fire.
